The National Right to Housing Network partnered up with CERA to produce pamphlets reviewing the extent to which the goals set out in the NHS are being met through a rights-based lens.
This pamphlet examines housing renovations and upgrading, an issue that leads to evictions from rental housing and denies people their right to security of tenure – a key component of the right to housing.
We outline the impact of “renovictions” across Canada, and how advancing the right to housing can help to address these issues.
